Welcome

St Lukes Church is an Anglican Church in the Church of England.

We keep regular services for worship weekly and daily prayers for the world and our local community.

Our expression of faith incompasses a traditional catholic style with both old and new hymns.

This may be experienced through a rich liturgy and heightened sensory experience with the use of bells, incense and other symbols. We believe in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and all of our praise is for him with our whole hearts.

We are currently in vacancy and are awaiting our next Priest who will serve this community and the community of All Saints, Southend (Sutton road). To view our Parish Profile click here

Our community centre hosts numerous health and wellbeing activities including; dance & exercise classes, health services, childrens groups, scouts & guides and many more. See the Centre activities page for a full list of current groups

We hire halls and rooms to groups but do not hire for private parties, this keeps the centre as a place for social & wellbeing activities. See the tabs above to explore the Church and Community centre, if you need help, contact us.

The Gospel is central to all we do here at St Lukes, we live incarnationally, bringing God into every aspect of life, striving for  a deeper  understanding and knowing of God and it is a constant comfort in knowing we are never alone.

If you would like to join us for prayer, learn how to pray or come in for private prayer you are very welcome.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
